At the Sylvania Senior Center we are always working to make sure we provide services that assist in the wellness of our members by providing fitness programs and tasty, healthy meals that are always served with a smile.

Lunch Program

Hot meals are served at the center Monday – Friday, 11:45 am – 12:30 pm.

A donation of $2.50 is asked for anyone 60 years and older.

Those under 60 years may enjoy a lunch for $5.62.

The Area Office on Aging contracted with Trio Community Meals to provide lunch meals at the nutrition sites in Lucas County. Nutrition is of the utmost concern to help reduce colds and illnesses. The meals furnished through the Senior Nutrition Program provide one-third the daily recommended nutritional requirements.

To order a lunch, please call our office at 419.885.3913 by noon the day before you wish to dine here.¬†Monthly menus are available at the Greeter’s desk, in the office or through the link above. If you can’t make your reservation, please call the center as early as possible to cancel your reservation.

Farmers Market

The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program provides $50 worth of coupons annually to eligible adults 60 years of age or over to purchase locally grown, fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey from local farmers. We encourage all seniors to take advantage of this program! You are eligible to receive SFMNP coupons if:

  • You are 60 years of age or over
  • You are a resident of Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams or Wood Counties in Ohio or the city of Fostoria, Ohio
  • Your annual income is $0 – $23,828 (if you live alone)
  • Your annual income is $0 – $32,227 (for a household of two)
